Outreach and Partnership Provision
We are pleased to introduce Somerset's outreach offer, which is available to provide schools, settings, and young people with early support in a free and timely manner. The main objective is to support inclusive practice in schools; this is often through identifying barriers to learning for young people and through co-planning with schools to support young people to feel included and able to access their learning.
All referrals now go through the:
Somerset Outreach Support referral form
Once a referral has been completed, it will be triaged to your local team who will be in contact to discuss how outreach could support the young person, school or setting. The Somerset outreach offer includes support from specialist settings across Somerset, as well as from the PRU outreach teams.
Please note this is a local authority referral form and information will be shared and stored by the local authority as well as at Tor school in line with our data protection policy.

I have been a teacher for nearly 20 years, the majority of this time being a SENCO in various settings. I have worked in mainstream and specialist SEMH settings during this time. I am a trauma informed practitioner and am particularly interested in supporting young people to access learning, being curious around understanding and exploring what the barriers could be. I love being part of the outreach team and going out into a variety of schools, meeting and working with lots of new people.

I am a primary trained teacher and I have taught in London as well as Yeovil, Somerset. Whilst I was a primary SENCO, I obtained my level 7 post graduate SpLD qualification. I then moved into the local authority where I worked in the Learning Support Service and the statutory Virtual School, supporting settings to unpick cognition and learning barriers and to consider wider functions of behaviour as part of their graduated response to meeting needs. I also worked on the NASENCO award.

I joined Tor School in 2025 having previously worked with children and young people with SEND in schools across Somerset as an Autism & SLCN Advisory Teacher. Prior to this I was a lead teacher of an Autism Centre on site of a mainstream primary school where my specialism was communication, interaction, sensory and emotional regulation; identifying barriers to learning and creating strategies to support.
I am experienced in teaching young people with SEN in mainstream and special school, from the EYFS through to sixth form; understanding how their experiences and interactions will shape their future development and opportunities in the wider community. It's a privilege to support young people and their settings as part of the Outreach team here at Tor.
Outside of school I enjoy art, camper van life, going surfing with my family and swimming.
