KS4 Provision
Our KS4 students are the largest cohort in the school.
Our staff work with young people who have experienced difficulties at school and often in their wider lives. The routes to being referred to Tor School are:
- Permanent Exclusion
- A partnership place to help prevent suspension/exclusion
- A medical place
Our skilled staff team establish relationships with our young people, offering support, learning opportunities and wellbeing activities to enable them to make progress socially, emotionally and with their learning, thus building resilience and independence for those important next steps, whether that be to a new school, integrating back into their mainstream school or post 16 provision.
All young people are given a timetable that offers a variety of opportunities and includes the core subjects and options to choose other subjects.
We also offer our young people a range of qualifications which includes:
- GCSE
- functional skills level 1
- functional skills level 2
- BTEC level 1
- Entry level certificates
- AQA unit awards
We are really privileged to have a modern building with up-to-date technology and equipment. We have specialist classrooms for food, science, art and workshop as well as a garage on site for mechanics.
