E-Safety
Statement
We believe that:
- children and young people should never experience abuse of any kind
- children should be able to use the internet for education and personal development, but safeguards need to be in place to ensure they are kept safe at all times.
At Tor school we have a robust approach to e-safety. This includes:
- Control measures such as a student mobile phone ban and filtering and monitoring of all student devices, both on and off site
- Learning how to keep safe online, taught through PSHE and P4AL lessons. This includes: Cyber bullying, social media bullying, online safety, sexting and sharing nudes, pornography
- Annual staff training on e-safety
- Opportunities for parents and carers to receive advice and guidance on e-safety (please contact your child’s tutor in the first instance, to discuss this)
For any safeguarding issues please see the Safeguarding page
or contact the Designated Safeguard Lead, Matt Clinkard, via dsl@torschool.org
