Mendip Partnership Panel is the decision making forum for all non-statutory work that we offer. The Panel is made up of representatives from all of our partner schools. (For Medical referrals there is a different process)

OUTREACH OFFER:

Our Outreach offer is there to provide early support for young people within the Mendip area. We will always offer support when requested for free in a timely manner. Ideally we would offer outreach support to young people before schools would be considering an intervention or partnership place at Tor.

  • Advice and guidance to school staff, this can lead to further support listed below
  • Upskilling staff, could include modelling of interventions/activities, working alongside to gather student voice/model resources, coaching and training.
  • Solution circles
  • Observation of young person and planning next steps with a key adult
  • Staff training which can include: SEMH and trauma training, training around neurodiversity, meeting needs in the classroom, interventions and assessments.
  • Provide staff with strategies to try in the classroom or support to create a bespoke approach to learning for a child.
  • Joint planning meetings to discuss and create plans for those with complex needs.
  • Short in school intervention in Outdoor learning, advice from adult on how to use the school outdoor space to support regulation as well as upskilling of staff to have a selection of outdoor activities that can be delivered within the school grounds.
